Yesterday we had a new Heat pump/AC installed by Malak Anter from Harrington Air Conditioning. We are extremely happy with the diligent and thorough work that Malak performed. A lot of the work was under our home in a crawl space where he had to crawl on his stomach to reach the ducting. Plus he did all the installation of the heat pump himself. The company was recommended to me and I am so glad I called. The experience in getting my air conditioner was really great. I didn’t feel that anyone was trying to convince me of anything I didn’t need. I called and the same day Barry came out to give me an estimate. And the day of the installation, I got a text to let me know that Malak and Max were on their way. They hauled all the trash off and I had nothing to worry about. Harrington Air Conditioning was recommended by a friend when our 5 ton AC unit in the garage and the ductwork under our beach house were flooded during hurricane Idalia. We were pleasantly surprised when Barry, the estimator, was able to come the day we called. Barry spent over three hours measuring every room and window, evaluating the insulation etc to give us a choice of three brands of AC with detailed quotes before he left. He was extremely professional and answered all of our questions.We had two additional bids from other well-known companies which were also recommended by friends. The quotes were all similar in price but we decided on Harrington because they responded quickly, offered well-known brands and we felt comfortable with their professional, polite manner. After securing permits they began work three days later.Eric and Alex were our competent team for the entire job. They tackled the difficult job of removing old, soggy duct work which required crawling under the house in wet dirt as well as installing the new ductwork under the house, a new unit and adding new vents for better efficiency. Harrington hired Miller Crane to remove and replace the air handler from a second story platform. The crane operator was also top notch. Gas and electrical subs were contracted and again, did a great job. Harrington sent additional employees as needed; Tony efficiently resolved a difficult thermostat issue.This was a major job with many facets. Eric and Alex handled every challenge professionally and as promised, the job was done in four days. They were neat and tidy, always leaving the job site in good order. They explained what was being done and happily answered all of our questions.We would highly recommend Harrington Air Conditioning for any AC job. They are up to the challenge and will get the job done efficiently and in a timely manner. We are very pleased!

When our AC stopped working yesterday we called Harrington AC and they were so professional in every step. Even calling to see if Tanner could arrive a bit earlier than expected. Harrington came out to replace my downstairs unit that was oversized. They got the job done in one day, made sure my house was clean just as it was before they came and best of all, they got my house cooling perfectly in the hot summer heat. Had another issue with AC, but Zion is awesome in that he got a technician here as soon as possible (Tanner) and Tanner checked everything over, found the problem and fixed it and now everything is up and running smoothly again.So, now I have had the thermostat replaced, another out vent put in so now everything should be good.Awesome maintenance guys, very pleasant, always on time and explain everything.Ok, update from other review... I got a call from Zion and they are going to come out and make sure everything is running correctly. I am completely happy with everything now.I had the duct work replaced thinking it would help cooling the house. It did not. So, then decided to get new AC which cost $12000 and it wasn't working correctly. Jeff came and found out what was wrong and had to order parts. Remind you.. Brand new AC... 2 1/2 weeks later he came and replaced parts. So, for $12000 I am thinking my house will be cold at 72 degrees. Why am I still sweating at that temperature... I called and asked if AC could be replaced because it did have problems and now almost a week later no response. I was thinking about getting the maintenance plan, but now I am just tired of being treated like I am not important. I have spent like $15000 to this company and this is how I get treated. I gave it 2 stars, because maintenance guys are awesome.

Malak and Max installed a new unit for us in Sept 2023. Did a great job. Got here on time and worked efficiently. They obviously knew what they were doing. They cleaned everything up when they were finished House is cooling down nicely. Highly recommend this company. We have used them before for our business. They always do a nice job.Great service. Knowledgeable people, prompt, efficient and very neat in your home. We have used them for at least 5 years now. They replaced AC units at our home and our office. They do an annual check up. We have used other companies over the years and Harrington is by far the best.
Adam from Harrington was polite and knowledgeable. He explained the repairs clearly. I would absolutely use Harrington again. BTW, a neighbor in my community said she has been using Harrington for 30 years! That was a good enough recommendation for me.
I contacted this company due to my poorly cooling AC. They scheduled a technician to arrive between 4-6 pm, but he didn't show up until 6:10 pm. After identifying the issue and realizing it was the end of the day, he decided to charge me $600 for a 30-minute coil cleaning, without using extra materials or extensive labor.The following day, I called their office to request a reduction in the bill, but they insisted that $600 was a reasonable charge for a half-hour cleaning job.I strongly advise against using this company; they are excessively overpriced. It was my mistake to choose them over the numerous other HVAC companies in the area, and I won't make that choice again.

I have been a customer of Harrington AC for several years. They were recommended to me by my parents, who have been their customers since 2015. Harrington installed a new system (new AC, duct work, etc.) in my home and right from the start they listened to my needs, and worked with me on my design challenges to get to the finished product that worked for me.EVERYONE at Harrington has ALWAYS been super professional, respectful of my home and my time, considerate of my needs, and honest with me about what I think I need.😁Their prices are very reasonable and they explain every aspect of their service and installation.I really can’t say anything negative about Harrington AC. They are my only recommendation to friends and family.
I had a very disappointing situation with Harrington. I had worked with them for years at a local contractor and also they had done work at our home in the past.So when we wanted to switch to a Google thermostat my husband called to see if they install that item. We were told they do and set an appointment. The installer arrived but really did not know how to install this thermostat and was on the phone much of the time. He said he to run a line from thermostat to the AC unit and it could take some time. Then he broke off a screw at the thermostat. Didn't have a replacement and said it would be more costly and take more time. At that point my husband said maybe we call it a day. Paid him the service fee. Installer and my husband left the home. When I arrived home from work the AC was not working. I called Harrington and was told that wasn't their fault and anyway we didn't take their suggestion so they wouldn't come back without charging us. They had emailed a very expensive thermostat instead of the Google that we had already purchased. Wow, left us without AC for 3 days.The next licensed AC contractor arrived and fixed whatever the installer had wired incorrectly and then installed the Google Thermostats within an hour with no need to run a wire from thermostat to AC unit.Kind of felt bad that the installer was sent to do something he didn't know how to do. The problem really started with the office. I will NEVER suggest Harrington AC again.
I just had Harrington out for my yearly AC maintenance and was amazed by the level of service. I received a text prior to my appointment with an ETA, picture and brief bio on my technician Collin. He did a great job explaining everything that was done, and I went ahead and had him install a soft start kit so I can run the AC off my generator.After, I got a very detailed email showing all the work that was done including pictures.Highly recommend Harrington and especially Collin
Tech Tanner was argumentative and not knowledgeable about the mini split system. This was the worst a/c tech I have ever had. Called the office and Zion was not helpful either and said “I’m closing your account!” Sadly, and after 20 years, I will cross Harrington Air OFF my list. Use caution if you call them. They also want to limit your 1st amendment right to free speech on your own property! Of course you never get 4 letter words from me unless you screw up and then argue with me about it. I recommend finding another contractor.

Top notch company. Great communication. Found an issue during a maintenance check. When the technician came out to fix it, he found the problem was not as bad. Explained why maintenance person came to that conclusion, which was completely reasonable, and provided me a video confirming the leak was not present. Fixed my real issue quickly. Appreciate that they did not fix/charge me for something that was not needed. I recommend them fully.
Words can’t describe how thankful I am for this company. I called them at 6:38pm desperate for an immediate AC repair. My fan was blowing but not putting out cold air. My home was 87° 🥵 Laurie who made the appointment over the phone was great. By about 7:20 I was greeted by Adam. Adam was wonderful and professional. He was here promptly and diagnosed/fixed the issue quickly. It was a bad compressor. The service was complete by 8pm. Very pleased with the overall service. 10/10 would def recommend.
Tony, Johnny were on time, professional, explained step by step the installation and how to set up the app to control the thermostat. I called on Sunday morning and they sent a sales/tech out. Brian worked to get the old unit working temporarily, and explained replacement options. I went with the Daiken and got 12 year parts and labor warranty. On first set up and run of the new system it cooled down from 87 to 77 in 30 minutes and that was in August.
Malak just installed the new AC unit, this one man army did an entire install job, he got rid of the older unit outside and the handler. Very hard working and focused worker! He did such a good job with the install he even educated me with some of the upgrades and updates! 8/15/2023Brian Jenezon is my savior! Not only did he come next day after my AC broke and fixed it, he also helped me fix my door latch that was broken to my AC Handler and he helped me decide a new AC unit for outside cause the box is 13 years old…! He was very educational for a guy that’s pretty new to this company, he’s reliable, funny and very smart at his craft. So happy I called this company through my parents who had their unit installed by Harrington, so glad I was able to get Brian out here next business day and glad we got an appointment for a new outside AC Unit.Whoever is reading this and I know people are, all praises are going to be sung by this gentleman! Please give him more tasks and reward him for his service! The world needs more Brians out there, who’s willing to do the hard work in this AWFUL FLORIDA HEAT, he gets the job done!!Thank you Harrington!! And thank YOU Brian Jenezon!! You the man! After my moms AC unit froze up the second time in four months we called Harrington. They were very professional and noted the unit on the condo roof was corroded from the nearby salt water. They replaced the entire system quickly and efficiently.
Collin came the second time since I got my place a few months ago. The first time was for maintenance, the second time for emergency (A/C stopped working). Both times I was very impressed with Collin’s professionalism, attitude, attention to the details and his patience answering my many questions. I had my first A/C unit installed by Harrington Air Conditioning in 1993. Since then , I have always had my maintenance service by them including installation of new units . My technician Brian Jenezan was very knowledgeable, professional and explained everything thoroughly during my recent maintenance service. I highly recommend Harrington Air Conditioning for any service / installation needs!
Had a great first experience on a service call. Read the online reviews .Needed a coil replaced and was quoted more than $3000 vs a large nearby competitor. Had exact work done for $1835 was quoted nearly $4800 for same job. When I asked tech why his price was so high, he told me he was business and needed to make a profit. I am not looking to trash anyones business. The overwhelming majority the reviews are good and this is likely a great business most of the time.This was my experience and maybe it was one bad apple. I always get multiple estimates anytime I do a job. Some businesses take customers for granted. My advice keep your eyes open and dont assume you're getting a deal unless you have intimate knowledge of the industry.In response to owners comments below:The service call took place on morning of Thursday August 3rd in Tierra Verde. The phone call took place at 10:19am with the field technician . The work was exactly the same for both companies. Thats the reason I did this review.
Fabulous work and attention to detail. Purchased HVACs from Harrington 5 years ago and have had continual great service. Vince Kosel was pleasure - he is highly qualified and articulate engineer. Job well done - we gladly refer Harrington and will continue to use them.
Johnny and Tony did a fabulous job installing our new AC unit. They were both very helpful and accommodating in our small space. Tony was able to find a way to install the new copper tubing without having to open up the whole wall. He also installed the inside unit where the door to the existing space still fit. Terrific employees...both of them!

I would definitely use Harrington again. Called them on a Sunday for service and Justin showed up in a short amount of time found the problem and did a temporary fix so that Alice would have air. He came in checked the the thermostat explained what he did and went over the invoice and Alice decided to get the warranty also. Tanner came today installed the new part. Justin and Tanner are very professional and polite. They also took the time to answer our questions. Alice is very very happy with your service.
