We had a problem with compressor #2 not running. A service person came out and gave us a diagnosis that turned out not to be correct. The unit had a 10 year warranty and at 5 years we were told that we needed a new compressor with $3500 not covered. We called and questioned this and they sent out Mr. AJ, a Senior tech who discovered that there was no compressor problem, only a problem with a loose wire and a disconnected wire. So, there was no charge for the second inspection and no $3500 problem at all. Thanks to the Service Mgr., Mr. Zion, Taylor Bennet and the Super Tech Mr. AJ. All the best ! We have been with Harrington for almost 30 years and I would highly recommend this company.April 2026. Mr. AJ strikes again ! Same super service, great to work with, and had everything fixed and tested within a very reasonable time frame. Harrington is the best choice in the Tampa Bay Area as far as I am concerned and I have used this company for over 30 years. If you are thinking about buying from another company, DON'T. Harrington installed my HVAC system in 2020. Today, technician Scott came out to troubleshoot why my AC unit had shut down. Scott impressed me greatly with his calm and patient demeanor. He was highly professional, courteous, knowledgeable, and thoroughly answered all my questions. Thankfully, he quickly diagnosed the issue as a clogged drain line. Harrington replaced my decrepit 11-year-old air conditioner. Marcus updated me through the entire process and answered all my questions. The condenser rests on the detached garage roof and the handler is in the attic of a 2-story house. Jack and John worked proficiently and tirelessly. The job was completed in one day, despite the oppressive heat, humidity, stairs, and cramped space. All the technicians are polite, skilled professionals. A/C went on one of the hottest days, called Harrington, and a tech was dispatched to our home. They are efficient, knowledgeable, and courteous, and they were able to explained what was not working. In the end, we needed a new unit. It was replaced by Harrington. Their techs Marcus and Adam are knowledgeable and great. Recommend them!7/ 18/ 24- Still are the best a/c company! Had an electric problem which we thought was unit, it wasn't, thank God, their tech Scott was very through and informed us of what he tgought we should done.
